This "shredded" BBQ Beef is done in a slow cooker and is great served warming in the slow cooker with mini rolls & Cole slaw. It's a great buffet item.

- 3 pound brisket 2nd cut is fine
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 bottle beer any kind will do
- 1 bottle bbq sauce preferably honey flavored
Cook brisket on low, covered with the bottle of beer for 8 hours. Drain the liquid out of the crock pot and shred the beef.Save the liquid. Add the BBQ sauce. Add some of the reserved liquid if necessary and warm in the slow cooker on low until ready to serve. Serve with rolls & coleslaw (recipe below).
Easy & great coleslaw:
1 lb. bag of coleslaw mix
3 T sugar
3 T white vinegar
1/2 c. mayo
S & P to taste.
Mix sugar & vinegar until dissolved. Whisk in mayo. Add slaw mix & S & P to taste. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
