- 1 can chickpeas (drained with liquid reserved)
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 cloves garlic
- juice from 1/2 a lemon or more to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 Drain chicpeas, reserving liquid. Peel outer skin of chickpeas for a smoother consistency.
2 Combine with the rest of the ingredients except oil in food processor.
3 Puree and slowly add stream of oil and then 2 tablespoons reserved chickpea liquid.
4 Add more liquid to achieve desired consistency.
5 Serve with pita or pita chips.
