Vegan bacon that gives crispness and a smokey flavor to any dish. I enjoy eating it right out of the pan, but they are also perfect crumbled in a salad or served in a sandwich.

- 1 package tempeh, sliced thin
- 2 tbsp. liquid smoke
- 4 tbsp. tamari or soy sauce
- optional dash of hot sauce
- oil for frying.
1 Marinate tempeh in liquid smoke and tamari mix for 10 minutes.
2 Heat frying pan over high heat. Add oil and fry tempeh strips until browned on both sides about 10 minutes each.
