- 1 ,16-ounce can apples, pears or other fruit, divided
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 , 10 ounce package couscous (7/8 cup)
- 3 tablespoons Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, or to taste
1 Drain fruit, reserving juice.
2 Pour juice into measuring cup and add water to equal 2 cups.
3 Prepare couscous according to package directions using the fruit juice and butter.
4 Dice fruit; add to couscous.
5 Combine sugar and cinnamon and mix with couscous.
6 Place in serving bowl and sprinkle with additional cinnamon, if desired.
7 Serve at room temperature or chilled.
