I came home from apple picking with a quart of fresh pressed apple cider and it was good, but after the first cup it was missing something. I added some rye whiskey and a little lemon and it was real good.

- 2 parts rye whiskey
- 3 parts fresh apple cider
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
Combine rye, cider and lemon juice in a short glass over ice. Stir with a cinnamon stick if you have one.
This drink would be good hot or cold so you can enjoy on the cool fall nights as well as Indian Summer nights.
