Chocolate & Chocolate Raisin Cookies

  • 2 cups:all-purpose flour 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup:butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup:white sugar
  • 2/3 cup:packed brown sugar
  • 2 :eggs
  • 1 teaspoon:vanilla extract
  • 1-1/3 cups:chocolate covered raisins



  1. Preheat oven to 350. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients, then fold in the chocolate covered raisins.
  4. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
  5. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Makes 40 cookies
