Braised Eye Chuck Roast

  • 1-5 pound Eye Chuck Roast usually comes tied up
  • 1 cup prpared horse radish
  • 3 medium carrots sliced
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1/4 cup sweet red wine
  • onion powder to taste
  • garlic powder to tase


Season Roast with Onion powder and garlic powder. Place sliced oion and carrot on the bottom of Roaster, forming a bed. place Raost on the bed, pour the wine ofver the roast, and then smear the horse radish over the top and sides of the roast.

Cook covered on the stove top for 2 hours medium flame, until a thermometer placed inthe center of the roast reads medium done, about 2 hours.

remove from heat, wait 20 minutes. open lid, remove raost to platter, spoon out vegetables from bottom of roaster. If you desire you can thicken the jus naturel into a gravy. 12-15 portions..
