Soups can always be made with minimal ingredients when you start with a good stock and some of the recipes here rely on that, but we also have 5 ingredient soups packed with flavor without any stock at all.  The trick?  Strongly flavored vegetables.  

The secret to making all the soups is to cook the vegetables until tender and bright, but not longer than that. Over-cooking the vegetables will eliminate a lot of the natural flavor the vegetables hold, so keep an eye on the cooking times listed in the recipe instructions.
