About C&R Tavern & Market:
Welcome to Citron & Rose Tavern & Market, a community restaurant, bar and market serving the residents of Greater Philadelphia and Main Line suburban. The restaurant and market are glatt kosher, under the supervision of the Community Kashrus of Greater Philadelphia (Keystone-K).
C&R Tavern & Market is a re-opening and re-imagining of the original Citron & Rose, launched in 2012 by Philadelphia philanthropist David Magerman and James Beard Award-winning chef, Michael Solomonov.
The building has served as a restaurant to the community for decades, first as the Tavern, and later as The New Tavern, both owned and operated by the owners' friend and restaurant neighbor, Nick Zarvalas. During extensive renovations, the restaurant's designers uncovered a wealth of Main Line Philadelphia history. Some of the artifacts are on display in the restaurant.
The new incarnation of C&R has a broad American menu with traditional comfort food, great steaks, bar food, and a delicious non-dairy dessert menu. They also have a large bar stocked with local beers on tap, specialty cocktails, and a broad selection of wine and liquor.
C&R Tavern & Market welcomes guests for lunch and dinner Sunday-Thursday, and lunch on Friday. Call 610-257-7577 to book your reservations or party catering.
And here's just a snippet of the C&R Tavern & Market dinner menu. Check out their Facebook page for the complete lunch and dinner menus.
If you're in the Greater Philly area, NJ or NYC, you have to make the trip and check out this place (and that tower of onion rings). See you there!
