I set out to make parve kosher for passover nutella last Passover because I always thought it would be heaven spread on matzah and it was. But it is just after Sukkos now and I wanted to make it again but I can't remember what I did. So I started from scratch and this version was excellent also. What I am learning is take some hazelnuts, grind them fine and mix in some chocolate and sugar and you can't really go wrong.

This homemade spread is better than store-bought brands because it is nonhydrogenated and made with high quality chocolate. Do not skimp on the chocolate and your spread will be an addicting schmear for everything from toast to apple slices. I tried this delicious spread in my hamantaschen and found a new out-of-this-world Purim treat.
