The advantage of making your own broth is that it allows you to control the sodium level and not have to worry about additional artificial flavors. You can use chicken thighs, drumsticks, backs, or necks. If you decide to opt for turkey broth, you can use turkey necks or wings. In my humble opinion, homemade broth tastes a lot better than the store bought canned or container broths stocked on shelves at your local supermarket. Its easy to make and it doesn't involve much preparations. This broth can be used in soups,stews,casseroles, or grains. This broth can be made a head of time and frozen for later use.
