Turkey barley soup

A comforting, flavourful winter soup. Great for Thanksgiving leftovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked turkey
  • 4 cup turkey or chicken broth
  • 4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup barley
  • 1 1/2 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

Preparation

Put all ingredients (make sure the water and chicken broth is already boiling) into crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours.
