If you prefer, eliminate the cornstarch and deep frying of the seitan, use a healthier oil eg olive or safflower, and add extra veggies like sliced carrots, mushrooms, pea pods, baby corn, etc. Use pineapple in juice, not syrup.

  • 1 - 2 packages seitan cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup water Peanut oil
  • 1 green pepper cut in chunks
  • 1 red pepper cut in chunks
  • 1 onion cut in chunks
  • 1 can pineapple chunks
