Recipe

Spinach Gefilte Fish

This is the easiest gefilte fish and doesn't require taking up a pot on my stove, plus we get the added bonus of the vitamins from the spinach, you can't go wrong.

  • Ready Time : 0 min

Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (22 oz) plain gefilte fish, defrosted in wrapper
  • 1 box (10 oz.) frozen spinach, thawed and drained

Directions

Preheat oven to 350.

In a large bowl mix spinach with gefilte fish.  In a loaf pan or on a cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray, spread out gefilte fish mixture.

Place in oven and bake for about 40 minutes or until set, but not browned.  Let cool and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  1. the gefilte fish should be defrosted enough that it can be mashed?

  2. Yes, I usually leave it in the fridge overnight and it is perfect.

  3. does it need salt/pepper/sugar?

  4. No need for anything else – it is already in the loaf.
