Soft Boiled Eggs on Toast

DiY, soft boiled eggs over toast, the perfect comfort food breakfast.

  • Prep Time : 5 min
  • Cook Time : 3 min
  • Ready Time : 8 min

1 plus

  • eggs
  • bread for toast

Boil water in a small pot; place an egg on a spoon and gently place in the boiling water to prevent cracking. Cook egg for 3 minutes and then run under cold water. Meanwhile, toast 2 pieces of bread and when golden brown spread with salted butter. Cut the toast into little squares and place in bottom of bowl. Crack the egg in the center by using a spoon and scoop out the egg yolk and white unto the toasted bread. Mix well so all the bread gets coated with the egg. Add salt and pepper to taste.  Enjoy!

About Linda Lebovic

After many years of staying home with my 4 kids- I decided it was time to expand my horizons. The only paying job I have had in the past 23 years was as a gymnastics teacher 6 hours a week, and that was 18 years ago!!! Being that my youngest is 18-I decided a few years ago-it was time for me to leave the nest, considering my kids were in school full time. I knew a desk job was not for me - and I was not up to date on the latest safety precautions for gymnastic. So I needed to figure out what I wanted to do, and that was the beginning of SWIRL. Swirl is a woman owned small business. I handcraft and design beautiful and top quality serving utensils, glassware and giftware. Swirl sells both in the retail market as well as wholesale. 1. I miss having soft boiled eggs. Will have to try it again. The bowl, napkin ring and spoon in the picture are elegant. Can they be purchased at http://www.swirlgifts.com?
