Slow Cooker Chili Hot Dog Topper

This was my favorite hot dog topper. Make sure to leave at least 5 hours for your chili to cook before serving.


  • Prep Time : 5 min
  • Cook Time : 5 hour
  • Ready Time : 5 hour, 5 min


12 1/2 cup servings


  • 5 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 15 oz cans of kidney beans, drained
  • 1 large white onion, chopped
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 5 tablespoons chlli powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano


Set your crock pot to high, place liner in pot. Add your tomato sauce, followed by the ground beef. Using a spoon or your hands, break up the meat so it is evenly distributed in the base of the crock pot. Add beans, chopped onion, chopped tomato, chili powder, salt and oregano and gently mix to combine. Cover and leave for 4-5 hours on high, stirring occasionally.
