Pesach Pie Crust # 1

Times

  • Prep Time : 5 min
  • Cook Time : 10 min
  • Ready Time : 15 min

Servings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 :cup margarine, melted
  • 1 :1/2-2 cups matzo meal
  • 1/4 :cup sugar
  • 1 :teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

Preparation

  1. Preheat 350.
  2. In a bowl combine all the ingredients together and press them into a pie pan.
  3. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes.
  4. Fill and serve.

This is one of the simplest pie crust recipes I’ve come across for Passover, and it’s no-roll, a boon for those of us who hate rolling dough (I’m the President of the NoRoll Club)

    any way i can make this recipe non gebraks? if not do u have any ideas of a recipe that i can use for pie crust that is not gebraks? thanks!!

    • I am sorry I don’t know, if you want to make something savory like a quiche you can make a shredded potato crust, not sure what to do for sweet. Maybe mash up egg kichel or some sweet cookie that is not gebrokts. Let us know what you end up with.

    So this pie crust recipe requires no egg at all?
    I don’t want to add cinnamon since it’s going to be a savory pie…do I need to add anything in place f the cinnamon?
