Tired of the usual Passover breakfasts? Need something for a snack to take on a chol hamoed car trip? This granola recipe is a family favorite. Each year I make four batches of the recipe and store them in zip lock bags.
Great for breakfast or snacks!
This year I made it with whole wheat matzah farfel and one batch with spelt matzah (crushed) and oat matzah (crushed) for my wheat sensitive daughter. I usually make for batches.
- Prep Time
- 1 box Matzah Farfel
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
- 2 tablespoon Passover margarine
- 1/2-1 cup nuts
- 1/2 -2 cup raisins, craisins, dried fruit
- chocolate chips
Bake farfel at 325 for 10 minutes; stir one time while baking.
In microwave (or in pot on stove), melt margarine, sugar, cinnamon and honey; coat farfel and stir to cover.
Bake at 325, stirring one time, about 15 minutes. Cool on wax paper.
Stir in raisins, nuts, craisins, dried fruit and/or chocolate chips. Store in tightly closed plastic bag or air tight container.
