Mediterreanean Tuna Burger

Top a tuna burger with olive tapenade for a full Mediterranean effect.

Times

  • Prep Time : 10+ 1 hour chill time min
  • Cook Time : 30 min
  • Ready Time : 40 min

Servings

4 burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ahi tuna steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • 4 Kaiser rolls, split
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 8 tablespoons Black Olive Tapanade
  • ½ cup arugula

Directions

  1. In a food processor, combine tuna, garlic, chives, salt, thyme, and lemon zest. Pulse to chop and combine until a coarse mixture is formed. Form 4 patties and place on a greased sheet pan. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Cook burgers on a preheated grill or grill pan for 15 to 18 minutes per side or until cooked through. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Place each burger on a kaiser roll with 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons Black Olive Tapenade, and a few arugula leaves.
