Matzo Balls

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup matzo meal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup water - room temperature
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 Dorot Chopped Garlic Cube
  • 3 Dorot Chopped Onion Cubes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chicken consomme

Directions

Mix all ingredients together until uniform.  Add salt and pepper to taste.  Refrigerate the mixture for an hour before use.  Make small balls with your hands and put into a pot with boiling water add a pinch of salt and the chicken Consomme.  Cook until the matzo balls float.  Drain and cool.

    Does anyone have a gluten free matzo ball recipe? I would love to be able to have matzo ball soup again!

  2. Try any tried and true matzah ball recipe but substitute home made matzah meal by grinding the gluten free matzah in your food processor Then follow the tried and true directions.

  3. The very best Matzo Balls I have ever made. Light, creamy, delish!
