Marinara Sauce

This marinara sauce is very versatile, and can be used in a variety of Pesach dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 20 ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 six ounce can tomato paste
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar (optional)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 /4 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

In a large saucepan over high heat, add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, oil, vinegar, sugar, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally
