Maple Candied Walnuts

Ingredients
- 4 cups California Walnut halves
- 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
Directions
Preparation
1 Combine walnuts and maple syrup in a large bowl; mix until evenly coated. Stir in sesame seeds.
2 Spread on non-stick, or parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake at 325°F for 25 minutes, stirring twice, until walnuts are lightly browned.
3 Cool on baking sheet; walnuts will become dry and crunchy as they cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

I made these this weekend for an Asiany Salad with avocado and other goodies and they were perfect. Great for a snack too, just not too sweet. If you are looking for a real candy crust this is not the recipe, but if not they are great.
