Macadamia Candy Corn

Ingredients

  • 1 :cup unpopped popcorn, popped
  • 2 :cups macadamia nuts
  • 1 :3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 :cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 :cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 :teaspoon salt
  • 3 :cups kosher miniature marshmallows
  • 1/4 :teaspoon butter flavoring

  1. Preheat oven to 250.
  2. Place popcorn and macadamia nuts in a large greased roasting pan.
  3. In a large heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt over medium heat.
  4. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
  5. Boil 2 minutes without stirring.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Add marshmallows, stir until melted.
  8. Stir in butter flavoring.
  9. Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn mixture; stir until well coated.
  10. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  11. Spread on lightly greased aluminum foil to cool.
  12. Store in an airtight container.

Not quite nuts, not quite popcorn but a great combination of both.
