Leek Latkes with a Sour Cream Dip

Ingredients
SOUR CREAM DIP
- 7 ounce sour cream
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3 Dorot Garlic cubes
- 3 Dorot Dill cubes
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of white pepper
LATKES
- 2.2 pounds fresh leek
- 5 Dorot Onion cubes
- 2 Dorot Garlic cubes
- 4 Dorot Parsley cubes
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons flour
- salt
- pepper
- vegetable oil
Directions
DIP: Mix all ingredients until mixture is uniform and smooth.
LATKES: Chop the leek.
Pop out the onion cubes into a pot and mix with the leek.
Fry and steam until soft .
Pop in the Garlic and parsley cubes and add the salt and pepper.
Mix gently.
Cool for a few minutes.
Add the eggs (beaten) and flour and mix together until the mass is soft and uniform.
Fry The mass in the oil until both sides are golden brown.

What are Dorot onion and garlic cubes? I’ve never heard of them. Our small town probably does not carry them in our market.
Dorot are frozen pulverized herbs/veggies and the tray is separated into small cubes. I’ve only seen/bought the garlic. I found it at Trader Joe’s.
