KFP Chocolate cake balls

These Kosher for Passover treats are so good you could enjoy them all year long, or at least after passover when you have extra matza or matza meal to use up!

  • Prep Time : 15 min min
  • Cook Time : none min
  • Ready Time : 15 min

makes about 20 golf ball sized balls

  • 2 cups matza meal or ground up matza
  • 100 grams margerine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 plus as needed cup sweet wine or grapejuice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup coconut for rolling

Melt the margerine, add sugar, cocoa, milk, wine, salt, mix then add matza meal. if the mixture is too dry add a few spoonfuls (one at a time) of wine.  Then form into golf ball sized balls (make sure to pack them tight they should not crumble or stick if they are too dry add wine if they are too wet add matza meal.  Immediately roll the ball in coconut, repeat until all of the batter is used up, store in the fridge.

hey, great recipe, it worked great, but how exactly did you come across the idea of adding grape juice or wine?
