Honey Roasted Almonds

These are delicious! They're easy to make, much less sodium than the canned kind, and a guaranteed hit with everyone.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole almonds with skins on
  • 1/4 cup sugar (don\'\'t skimp on it)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 2 tsp Olive oil

Preparation

Preparation

1 Roast almonds in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until crunchy

2 In a bowl, mix together the sugar and salt, set aside

3 In a heavy saucepan, place honey, water and oil and heat to boiling on med.

4 Add almonds, stirring constantly

5 Continue cooking and stirring until all liquid is gone

6 Remove to the sugar/salt mixture and toss
