Honey Mustard Chicken Cutlets

  • Cook Time : 30-35 minutes min
  • Ready Time : 45 min


2 Servings


  • 2 chicken cutlets
  • 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt + 1/8 tsp
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon bread crumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 medium red onion sliced or quartered


1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Combine mustard, brown sugar, honey, oil, ginger, 1/4 tsp. salt, and pepper. Spread over chicken to coat.

3. Combine bread crumbs, thyme and remaining salt. Sprinkle over chicken.

4. Arrange onions on the bottom of a pan and place chicken on top.

5. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

    Am I missing something? It’s called Honey Mustard Chicken and there is neither honey nor mustard in the recipe? Are there some ingredients missing?

  2. You are correct about that! Those are the 2 ingredients that are somehow missing from the recipe. I don’t know what happened! I will edit. Thanks!!

  3. Can I use ready made honey/mustard dressing

  4. The great thing about chicken is that you can basically pour any yummy sauce/dressing over it and it will taste good. One of my favorites is french dressing over dark meat chicken on the bone. I think a pre-made honey mustard dressing will be delicious with this recipe.
