Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. baking soda (mix into coffee)
- 1 cup warm coffee
- ½ cup oil
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 ¾ cups flour
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions
In a large bowl, combine eggs, honey, and sugar; mix well. Add baking soda to coffee. Add to mixer with oil. Add remaining ingredients and beat well. Pour into greased tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour, or until done. Heavenly!

This recipe is very close to my husband’s family recipe, only instead of coffee they use 1 C of strong hot tea and add it at the end. I like the flavor better because I’m not a coffee drinker. It’s a slightly milder flavor.
I’ve tried this recipe for Rosh HaShanah and my mother, father and even my ucle who doesn’t like sweets LOVED IT! Thanks for sharing
