Herring Waldorf Salad

A refreshing twist on a classic, this makes an easy and tasty Shabbat appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup herring
  • 1/2 Granny Smith apple
  • 1 tablespoon currants
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts

1. Chop herring with a knife. Remove any bones.

2. Peel and chop apple. 

3. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
