Garlicky Bok Choy

This is how I cook all Asian greens, so simple and so good.


  • Prep Time : 5 min
  • Cook Time : 10 min
  • Ready Time : 15 min

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 bunch bok choy, sliced in halved and cleaned well
  • coarse salt to taste



1 Place a large pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Once hot add garlic and bok choy, stirring until it begins to wilt and turn bright green.
2 Take off from heat, sprinkle with salt and serve. It can also sit and be served at room temperaure.

  2. I’ve bought bok choy many times to sauté like this (my kids LOVE it) & found it very difficult to clean because it is so infested.
    I’ve had better luck with BABY bok choy, preferably the one sold in plastic containers (i.e., Trader Joes).
    Best is to use it the day you buy it–it gets more infested as days go by
