Fried Bananas

A great dessert to accompany any Asian meal.

Ingredients

  • 9 slightly firm bananas, sliced diagonally into thick pieces
  • 6 Tablespoons margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds, for garnish, optional
  • Sauce
  • 6 Tablespoons margarine
  • 9 tablespoons Sugar

Preparation

Preparation

1 Melt 6 tablespoons of margarine in a frying pan over medium heat.
2 Add banans and fry for 1-2 minutes. Remove bananas to a separate bowl.
3 Add 6 tablesppons margarine to frying pan for sauce and melt over low heat. Add sugar and stir together over low heat. When syrup has formed, return banans to pot. Reheat and serve.
4 Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
