Easy Beef Roast


  • Prep Time : 10 min
  • Cook Time : 1 hour
  • Ready Time : 1 hour, 10 min




  • 2 lb hunk of silver tip
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 Tbsp your favorite spice mix


Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Spray cast iron skillet with cooking spray.
Combine pepper, garlic, olive oil salt and spice mix.
Place meat on skillet.
Pat meat with mixture.
Cook for 15 minutes on 400 on the top rack of oven then lower to 375 for an additional 45 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

*Added bonus: want to squeeze in an extra side out of this dish? Add 1lb of small roasting potatoes (cut in half) to the skillet and spray with Pam and sprinkle with salt and pepper, they will take around the same amount of time as the roast and will
pick up some of the flavor.
