Cosmic Barbecue Sauce

• 1 small:onion, quartered
• 1 clove:garlic
• juice of 1/2:lemon
• 1 cup:ketchup
• 2 tablespoons:vinegar
• 1 teaspoon:dry mustard
• 1/2 teaspoon:basil
• 3 tablespoons:brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon:salt
• 1/4 teaspoon:ground pepper
• 1/2 cup:raisins
• 2/3 cup:oil or melted margarine

Preparation

1. Blend all the ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.
2. Remove and place in a sauce pan. Simmer for about 45 minutes and then cool.
3. You can make this up several days before you wish to use it. Makes 2 cups.

Don't know why this is called Cosmic bbq sauce but the neighbor who gave me the recipe did say it was out of this world.
