Recipe

Coffee Cotini

Whether you think of this next cocktail as a morning “eye-opener” or a cool and creamy after-dinner drink, with or without the alcohol you are in for a treat!

Times

  • Prep Time : 5 min
  • Ready Time : 5 min

Servings

1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1 shot brewed Espresso Coffee (if you don’t have espresso, use one cup of the darkest roast, brewed drip coffee you can find)
  • 1 tablespoon cream of coconut
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur

Directions

1 Pre-chill a tall-stemmed martini glass by filling with ice and cold water. (You will dump the ice water before adding the cocktail mixture.) Brew the espresso shot (or cup dark roast coffee).

2 Pour into a martini shaker filled with ice. Add the cream of coconut (note: cream of coconut will be verY thick, not liquidy). Add the vodka and coffee liqueur. Shake vigorously for approximately 30 seconds. Strain the mixture into the chilled glass.

Garnish with any combination of roasted cacao nibs, shaved coconut or shaved chocolate.
