Cinnamon Honey Chicken

This is one of my family's favorite recipes for Rosh Hashona- I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Shana Tova!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups dry sherry
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup lime juice and zest of lime
  • 2 large garlic cloves, crushed
  • salt and fresh ground black pepper
  • 3-4 pounds chicken cut in 1/8ths

Preparation

1 Mix all ingredients together and marinate overnight or longer.
2 Prehat oven to 350. Drain chicken and reserve marinade.
3 Place chicken skin side down in baking dish and bake for 45 minutes on one side,
4 spoon some of the marinade on the chicken pieces. Turn
5 skin side up and cook for another 30 minutes, or longer, depending on how well done you like the chicken.
6 Remember to baste with marinade. If you like the skin very crispy you can
7 put the broiler on for a few minutes.
