Is this a dessert? Breakfast? Both?
Ha! Amy this is the whole beauty: It is anything you want it to be: Delicious enough to be a dessert, nutritious enough to be breakfast. This is only one of my “convertibles”! wait till you see my new cookbook: Just read the blurb I wrote on this subject first http://www.levanacooks.com/my-new-cookbook-new-reprint-very-soon-please-g-d/
milk and coconut milk?
Yes Ahuva: correct! Recipe is tried and true: enjoy, and don’t hesitate to make it pareve by using soy, rice or almond milk
Levana you are AWESOME!!! this did not disappoint – made it for breakfast this AM with agave, left out the “rum or brandy” just cause and it was still fantastic! I did low fat milk with the coconut milk and was simply divine. I didn’t add extra sweetener at the end bc had it for breakfast and wasn’t in the mood for super sweet. Thanks so much for a great recipe! I loved it!
This is the treat of my lean years. Never got tired of it. Au contraire! I take it places: Breakfast, soup, side dish, fritters, dessert. There’s nothing I don’t do with oats. Even mudpack and hair rinse (these I don’t eat, don’t worry!) xoxoxo
