Chocolate Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

Easy oatmeal chocolate cookies using a brownie mix.


  • Prep Time : 10 minutes min
  • Cook Time : 36 minutes min
  • Ready Time : 46 min




  • 1 box chewy fudge brownie mix
  • 1 cup quick oats, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 1 cup chocolate chips



1 Preheat oven to 350°F.

2 In a large bowl combine brownie mix, oats, oil, eggs and water; stir with a fork until combined. Dough will be stiff. Stir in chocolate chips.

3 Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.

4 Bake 12 minutes or until just barely set in the center. Cool 1 minute on pans. Transfer to wire racks with a metal spatula and cool completely. Garnish with sprinkle of quick oats if desired.

    Could you make it any easier? One bowl, one cup(yes I know I used the 1/2 cup twice) and no mixer which is the BEST part if all. I now have a recipe to do with grandchildren on a three day or rainy day yomtov. Before I forget YUM!!!!!!

    this is the easiest recipe wow made them in no time and my grandchildren helped me. they were gone very fast too- very tasty and very simple.

    Easy fix when you’re not in the mood to start from scratch. Easy to make with kids. Also good with a handful of dried cranberries added. Soak the cranberries if they are dried out, the oatmeal absorbs liquid.
