Recipe

Chinese Quinoa Cakes

When you have leftovers, turn them into fritters. These Quinoa Cakes are so amazing. It was really fun making Chinese Egg Rolls for Passover last year, but for a lot of people it is not easy, but this recipe offers a fried appetizer that goes well with duck sauce and is easier and healthier.

Times

  • Prep Time : 10 min
  • Cook Time : 15 min
  • Ready Time : 25 min

Servings

8 patties

Ingredients

Directions

Mix leftover quinoa with an egg.  Form into patties and coat with matzo meal set aside on a plate.

Bring a large frying pan over medium high heat.  Add oil.  Place patties in hot oil and cook on both sides until browned.  Remove to paper towels.  Serve with Gold’s Duck Sauce.

This recipe looks great! If I want to make this recipe year round can I use bread crumbs instead of matzo meal? THanks!
