Caramelized Onion and Rosemary Whole Wheat Matzo Rolls
These are very dense, flavorful rolls, best eaten fresh out of the oven.

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 11/2 cups boiling water
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups whole wheat matzo meal
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon rosemary, finely chopped
Directions
Heat pan over low heat. Add oil and onions and cook for about 20 minutes until caramelized. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to 375. Boil water, add salt, sugar and oil. Remove from heat, stir in matzo meal. Add eggs, one at a time until they are all mixed in. Then add onions and rosemary.
Place by ½ cup portions onto a greased baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes.
