Breaded Chickpeas

A quick snack for young and old, on a diet or not!


  • Prep Time : 10 min
  • Cook Time : 15-20 min
  • Ready Time : 25 min




  • 1 can Garbanzo Beans
  • 1 tablespoon Canola oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 dash Pepper
  • 1/3 cup Panko Bread Crumbs


Give a good wash to a can of garbanzo beans to eliminate the preservatives in the water it comes in. Put them in a deep bowl. Add the oil, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder and panko bread crumbs to the bowl. Mix until all the garbanzo beans are coated well.
Put on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and put in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes depending on how crunchy you want the garbanzo beans to be. Let cool for 3-5 minutes and enjoy!

      You’re very welcome! I just started writing down my recipes so my daughter, who turns two today, will have something to guide her cooking when the time comes. Also, the salt in the recipe can be bumped up to 1/2 a tsp. I did less for those who tend to eat low sodium!

    These worked really well with a salad. I added them on top of a salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and avocado.
