- Prep Time
- 1 bottle red wine Merlot, Shiraz, Rioja reds, Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1 lemon cut into thin wedges
- 1 orange cut into thin wedges
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 brandy shot
- 2 can ginger ale or club soda
Pour wine into pitcher. Squeeze juice from lemon and orange into wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (once you've removed any seeds). Add sugar and brandy. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale or club soda just before serving.
Other fruits that you could add to jazz up the recipe: sliced strawberries, peaches, fresh blueberries, kiwi, or raspberries. Other good changes include adding a shot or 2 of gin, brandy, and/or rum to the wine/fruit mixture.
