1.Ronzoni whole wheat pasta is particularly good in this recipe.

2. You can use plain tomato sauce spiced with pizza seasoning, onion and garlic powders.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ziti, thick spaghetti, or penne shaped pasta
  • 1 jar of your favorite tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. non-fat cottage cheese or part-skim riccotta (optional)
  • 1 bag part-skim mozzarella or pizza cheese
  • 1/2 cup skim milk (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • olive oil to coat pasta

Preparation

Preparation

1 Cook pasta al dente as per package directions.
2 Add salt, pepper and as little oil as possible to coat pasta.
3 Add cheeses and tomato sauce and mix well.
4 Add milk to tomoato sauce jar, cover, shake to combine with remaining sauce and pour over pasta.
5 Top with parmesan cheese.
6 Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
7 Enjoy.
