Baked Ziti
1.Ronzoni whole wheat pasta is particularly good in this recipe. 2. You can use plain tomato sauce spiced with pizza seasoning, onion and garlic powders. 3. This freezes well.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ziti, thick spaghetti, or penne shaped pasta
- 1 jar of your favorite tomato sauce
- 1 lb. non-fat cottage cheese or part-skim riccotta (optional)
- 1 bag part-skim mozzarella or pizza cheese
- 1/2 cup skim milk (optional)
- Parmesan cheese
- salt, pepper to taste
- olive oil to coat pasta
Directions
Preparation
1 Cook pasta al dente as per package directions.
2 Add salt, pepper and as little oil as possible to coat pasta.
3 Add cheeses and tomato sauce and mix well.
4 Add milk to tomoato sauce jar, cover, shake to combine with remaining sauce and pour over pasta.
5 Top with parmesan cheese.
6 Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
7 Enjoy.

I follow your website every day. But I find that your recipes are for experienced cooks only. The instructions are not always complete, the size pan not given, and the amount served is usually omitted. Thus, a lot of guessing is necessary.

Oh, I forgot. I love the “freezes well” instruction because I love to make things ahead and just have them ready to pop in the oven.
