Baked Bosc Pears on the Half Shell

Ingredients
- 3 Fresh Northwest Bosc Pears
- Choice of Fillings
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Preparation
1 Halve and core pears; fill centers with desired filling. Combine remaining ingredients; bring to boil and pour over pears.
2 Bake at 350 degrees F. 45 minutes or until tender; baste frequently with syrup.
3 Raisin Filling
4 Combine 1/4 cup raisins and 2 tablespoons chopped nuts.
5 Date Filling
6 Combine 1/3 cup snipped dates, 2 tablespoons chopped nuts and 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel.
7 Mincemeat Filling
8 Combine 1/2 cup prepared mincemeat with 1 tablespoon spoon rum or brandy.
