Recipe

Baked Apples

Times

  • Prep Time : 5 min
  • Cook Time : 30-40 min
  • Ready Time : 35 min

Servings

6-8 Servings

Ingredients

  • 6-8 apples on the smaller side - cored
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup yellow raisins
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • water to cover bottom of pan

Directions

Place the apples in a baking dish.

Mix nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar in bowl, add the raisins and coat well.

Generously insert mixture inside the cored apples

Add about ¼ inch water to dish and lightly sprinkle apples with water-so the raisins don’t burn.

Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

The nice thing about this recipe is you really do not have to listen to the measurements, you can just put some sugar in a bowl, add some cinnamon, nutmeg and raisins and you follow the rest of the instructions. Done.

About Linda Lebovic

After many years of staying home with my 4 kids- I decided it was time to expand my horizons. The only paying job I have had in the past 23 years was as a gymnastics teacher 6 hours a week, and that was 18 years ago!!! Being that my youngest is 18-I decided a few years ago-it was time for me to leave the nest, considering my kids were in school full time. I knew a desk job was not for me - and I was not up to date on the latest safety precautions for gymnastic. So I needed to figure out what I wanted to do, and that was the beginning of SWIRL. Swirl is a woman owned small business. I handcraft and design beautiful and top quality serving utensils, glassware and giftware. Swirl sells both in the retail market as well as wholesale.
