Avocado Pita Pizza
This recipe was adapted from a sandwich served at a health food restaurant in Miami Springs several years ago. I'm not sure what their name for it was but it's construction is similar to a pizza, hence the name I've given it.

Ingredients
- 1 ripe, medium size avocado
- 1 cup grated carrots
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1/2 cup grated muenster cheese
- whole wheat pita bread, split
- seasonings/spices of choice
Directions
Preparation
1 Mash avocado with seasonings of choice. I like to add some red pepper flakes and just a little sea salt. My husband doesn”t like to add anything. The new Fiesta Lime flavor of Mrs. Dash is good too.
2 Spread desired amount of smashed avocado on one half of pita bread. Top with grated carrot and about 4 TB muenster cheese.
3 Broil for just a couple minutes until cheese melts.
4 Top with bean sprouts and enjoy.
