Ingredients
- 4 apples, peeled if desired, sliced by hand or in the food processor
- 4 pears, peeled if desired, sliced by hand or in the food processor
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- sea salt
- 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1½ cup rolled oats
- ⅓ cup sesame seeds
- ⅓ cup sunflower seeds
- ⅓ cup raisins
- ⅓ cup coarsely chopped nuts (walnuts or peanuts work well)
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- ⅓ cup honey or pure maple syrup or agave nectar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9- x 13-inch baking pan or 12 (4-inch) ramekins. In a large bowl, combine apples and pears with cinnamon, 1 pinch salt, and lemon juice. Spread in a 9- x 13-inch baking pan, or portion into prepared ramekins. Prepare crumble: In a bowl, combine oats, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, raisins, nuts, salt, oil, and honey. Sprinkle crumble on top of fruit. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.
