Apple Crisp

  • 8 cups apples, peeled, cored, sliced 2 L
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed 60 mL
  • 1 Tbsp all purpose flour 15 mL
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 5 mL
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 375 mL
  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal 375 mL
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed 250 mL
  • 1 tsp baking soda 5 mL
  • 1/2 tsp salt 2 mL
  • 1 cup margarine, softened 250 mL



1 Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
2 Place the sliced apples in a 9×13 inch (22×33 cm) pan. Mix the brown sugar 1 Tbsp (15 mL) flour and ground cinnamon together, and sprinkle over apples.
3 In a bowl combine the flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. Cut in the margarine until mixture is crumbly. Spread evenly over the apple mixture. Bake for about 45 minutes.

  1. Yummy!!!This recipe is easy to make and so delicious! I used butter instead of margarine and added some nutmeg at my husbands request. I will be making this again soon!!
