Recipe

Apple Crisp

The lemon zest and lemon juice adds brightness to the crisp and sets it apart from the standard apple crisps. This is seriously the best apple crisp ever. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream. Lemon zest refers to the outer peel of the lemon, not including the white part which is very bitter.

  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

I am sure this is delicious, but unfortunately the recipe is unclear. What exactly is being included in the crumble? Is the cinnamon included in the apple mixture, because it does not say so. please make the recipe clearer. thank you very much. And how do you suggest it be kept warm on friday night?

  2. I find this recipe unclear. The ingredients aren’t listed in order. Do the nutmeg and cinnamon get mixed with the apples or are they part of the topping/crumble?

    Maybe it’s me, sorry I think it’s still unclear…. :(
