Sushi Rice

Servings

Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 cups water
  • 2 cups uncooked sushi rice
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons sugar

Directions

Bring water to a boil.  Add rice, vinegar, and sugar.  Stir thoroughly, cover, and reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes.  When rice is fully cooked, turn off heat and let cool uncovered.  Makes rice for 7-8 sushi rolls.
