Ingredients
Cookie
- 1 ¼ cup flour
- ½ cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 large egg
Cream Filling
- ¼ cup butter or margarine
- ½ cup shortening
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 375⁰F.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and sugar in electric mixer.
While mixing, add butter or margarine, and egg.
Place rounded teaspoons on lined baking sheet and bake for 9 minutes at 375⁰F.
To prepare the cream, combine butter or margarine, shortening, confectioners’ sugar, egg, and vanilla.
Pipe into center of cookies.

I made these a second time and I forgot the egg and they turned out crispier-more like real Oreos.
They’re super yummy both ways…just different.
